Just wanted to point out that you guys were right initially about the misuse of the word scatological.
This is the deffinition:
scatology /sca·tol·o·gy/ (skah-tol´ah-je)
1. study and analysis of feces, as for diagnosis.
2. a preoccupation with feces, filth, and obscenities.

I'll be darned. I was sure there were some other, non-medical, non-scientific uses that meant a more non-linear approach.
Ok, from now on, we take a 'heuristic' approach to analyzing episodes!
