This title naming convention is the most descriptive as it holds the season/eps reviewed:

Lostaholics reWatch s05e09-11

This is what we get in iTunes on the Lost Podcasting Network and the Lostaholics feed:

EPISODE27 - Lostaholics Rewatching Lost

Can we get the first naming convention to hit the iTunes feeds? You guys did it that way for episode 26 and for many previous episodes.

Thanks.

I'll make sure to do that for the remaining episodes. If I have time, I'll go back and change the ones that aren't like that for the rewatch shows.

This site and it's iTunes feed are what you should be using. Talkshoe also automaticly creates an iTunes feed but that is seperate.

I am a little bummed. I wanted to bring something up during the podcast about 'time' when we got to the part about Hurley and Miles' discussion, but I completely forgot all about it.

I watched a Bill Nye the Science Guy episode on Time and there were some EXTREMELY relevant points brought up. One is about the speed of light, which led to me to think about Daniel's statement about the way light scatters differently on the island. There's also the fact that when traveling faster than the speed of light, time slows down for the object traveling at that speed. That would also mean that, for a person, the aging process would slow greatly, too.

Bill Nye is awesome :)

Curt,
Ha, ha, you had to know that you'd hear back from me eventually after the last show. Ok, so what I want to know is which did you think that "I" was reaching on? Was it the theory about Aaron not really being there? Or my interpretation of the scene, in that Jack was calling as if he were the voice of the island's will and therefore the Island was putting the smack down on Kate, by having her 'lose' Aaron at the store?

Here's why I'm asking. The theory about the clerk not seeing Aaron WAS KAREN MAURO'S THEORY NOT MINE. As I stated in the notes it was HER theory and I found it interesting, but didn't neccessarily agree with it. What was mine was the interpretation that in the scene Jack was acting as if he was the will of the island trying once again to 'call' Kate back to the island, and when she ignored the phone 'call', Aaron immediately disappeared. And to drive that point home, the woman that she found him with was a Claire look alike. Now if it's my take on that scene that you think is a huge reach, I'd love to know why. Locke has been spouting his man of faith rhetoric for years. Do you not believe that he is speaking as if the voice of the island? He finally infected Jack with his faith when he "killed himself". So if you don't believe that Jack was doing the island's bidding, by trying to get everyone back to the island, does that mean that you believe that somehow everything that has happened on the show is coincidence? There's no fate, no power, no mystical occurances?

And when I say the "island's bidding" I mean some force on the island. It could be Jacob. It could be Nemesis. Smokey etc. Something that we don't fully understand yet. I don't know. But I think it's more powerful than Ben's manipulations. I may be wrong on that, but I think it's a more mystical execution than simply the lies of Ben.

I just want to know which part you were so strongly disagreeing with, because as I was thunderously typing away in the chat Tuesday, I started to wonder if we were arguing about the same thing or something totally different.

Draino,

Cudos on your catch of my dumb mistake on attributing "he's our you" to Oldham instead of Sawyer. I was laughing out loud when you caught that. I was so kicking myself on a dumb mistake like that. I never worry about wrong theories, but wrong details kill me. Good show, chap.

I just had to share with the Black Rock crew a conversation I thought you'd all appreciate. As I was watching "Dead Is Dead" my five year old came in to see Charlie pop his head out of "Our Mutual Friend"... Wow does that sound wrong as I type that! Let's say he popped his head out of Penny's boat instead. So I think she assumed he was Charlie Pace, because she asked "that's Charlie as a kid?" I explained that he was a new Charlie, baby Charlie and that it wasn't the man she's seen on the island. She corrected me and said that he was not a baby. What followed was a five minute conversation/debate on what age a toddler, baby, and kid are. What constitutes what designation. And I had to laugh, and think of Curt and Dan's sister.

Just had to share...

Hey! The notes for this week (28 Rewatch 512-513 etc) dissappeared on me and Steffy Mac as we were viewing/editing. I could not undo. Emergency! - Sorry - I don't think I did anything to delete it all but if I did, MAN - what a dope! I tried and tried to get it to undo and nothing - all gone. - Matt (Keys To LOST)

Season 6 must be approaching........StefanyMac is already starting to spam the blog and Matt is having panic attacks over notes.........

hahahahaha!

Sorry, just had to laugh.....

Did I mention that I have to cram for tonight's show because I still haven't watched two of the episodes? Sigh.......

Nancy,
Ha ha! I was thinking that too. It was old-school StefanyMac Feedback Attack! What did Curt say once? Something about I must have been drinking Red Bulls... That week I made a lot more posts though. Mmm something to strive for. Ya gotta have a goal.

Nice discussion about Ben losing his innocence. But I think he still has a soft spot, and that is when he is about to kill someone and there is a young child with them. What is up with that? If he lost his innocence, then he wouldn't care about the child. Maybe what happened to his own mother rings so strong, so that the feelings he has, has not left him.

Mairuzu said...

Loss of innocence isn't the same as psychopathy. That is, losing your innocence doesn't mean you've lost everything that's good about you.
