I think the incident in the Swan station happened before 1980, based on the copyright of the orientaion film. The incident mentioned on the blast door map is referred to as "AH/MDG incident of 1985." Those don't have to be the same thing. "AH/MDG" sounds like it could have something to do with Alvar Hanso (and possibly a DeGroot?), which leads me to suspect it could be related to some event with the backers of DHARMA, and less to do with something tied directly to a station.
And regarding the supposed date of 1992 for the purge - I'm growing more and more skeptical of that. The only thing that is based on is a dream that Locke had (the one in which Horace was stuck in a loop and said he had been dead for 12 years). Hardly a reliable source for accurate dating! It would make much more sense if it had occurred before Alex was kidnapped in 1988/89 (I don't think Ben would've taken her while he was still a Work Man). I think Kelvin was recruited after the Gulf war by the Others, under the guise of DHARMA, in order to keep the button going. Also, I believe the producers have hinted in a recent-ish podcast that the purge may have occurred earlier than we think.
