See? Doesn't have the same ring to it.......

This WAS the best episode so far and I'm hoping that the show continues to give us shows of this magnitude until the end.

The reason the mirrors are covered is that when you are mourning you should not be conscious of your physical appearance and therefore are not supposed to see how sad you look.

I had a wild thought -- what if the flashsideways is really a flash forward if Flocke gets off island?

First post is a BIGGER deal when it is a very active site but a meme none-the-less.

@ZGK - Thanks for the info, could you tell I'm a goy married into Judiasm? I like your thinking, it has certainly crossed my mind considering I keep looking for the 'loop'. I can totally see the flashes as the end-of-the-world but then so many see it as proof of 'goodness?' if-you-will. But wouldn't this future, MIB's *bargain*, be robbing at least one side of their *choice's*. Isn't this the future Kate lamented when she pressed Jack on world where they *never happened*

Ooo, good memory, Curt! I had forgotten about that.

Then there's Juliette and Sawyer, the CATCH 22 (!) where they would prevent all of this from happening.. but bittersweet in that it also means they Juliette and Sawyer would never have met to spend time in DHARMAville.

ZKG, that's an intriguing notion that’s worth noodling on.

Although many of our characters are having moments of “island memories” in the LA_X, maybe Desmond is fully aware of his time spent on the island due to his “uniqueness.” If your theory is correct and we are seeing the reality if MIB does leaves the island, Desmond would retain both memories (forwards and back of LA_X and island) but only the LA_X reality is what he’s presently experiencing. (ie. Flashes Before Your Eyes and The Constant) That would be a tough way to live, eh? Better call Faraday...

Now, if Desmond wants to instead continue his existence where his island experience had actually happened (non-LA_X), he’ll need to put MIB back on the island...somehow. I’m not saying that Desmond particularly enjoyed pushing a button for three years, or killing Inman, or playing around with a bomb on the freighter; but maybe because he did all of that, he gained something that he would not have otherwise.

Maybe that something is Charlie?

Crazy idea...but fun theory.

I felt the same way Degringo. I want to hear how it made people feel and not where it registered on the ritcher scale but...

Sorry @momto+, totally my bad.

@marlene - good insight
